Xbox 360 - FTW. Great to see you Horizon, Dan.
We are currently working on getting a CMS. Sadly, we are having troubles. We'll be glad to have you online when we do get it up.

Re: Horizon
Like Horizon said, it isn't working nor properly connected. Justin should be getting on today and we'll be discussing it.LuckyAngel wrote:Dallas, I cant get onto the hotel It wont load, it comes up but then it goes black
CMS is the newer versions of Habbo. It isn't equipped with the big hand anymore and has much less bugs and whatnot. It is more suitable.Horizon wrote:Thats because The server isn't connected properly.

The issue with the hotel is not the database itself. It is more of the connection of my computer. It isn't allowing anyone on even though it is up and running fine. We'll be getting it up later tonight when Justin is online.

Horizon wrote:Are you using MSql connection or hamachi
Well we do not have everything set right. There are some things that won't download and some things that won't work correctly. We've been able to log in from my computer only, since I am hosting it, but we haven't quiet got it to work for anyone besides me. Of course, with our bad luck streak right now, the hotel itself is not work for anyone, even me.
To answer your question, we plan to go MySQL and not hamachi. Hamachi is lame and it is just pointless. We are going to be opening up an old school hotel just to give you guys something to play on. We will be hopefully opening that today.

Re: Horizon
Sweet.
Hmm well, am i right in thinking when you try to upload the CMS data files it comes up with data errors and when you locate this data in your documents some of the folders have an ! or a ? on them?

Re: Horizon
No, none of that happens. It won't allow people to log in from the site I have set for it. It allows me, but only me.Horizon wrote:Sweet.

I had everything configured correctly because it allowed me to see everything; the news, homepage, profiles, community, everything. It just doesn't show for anyone else.

Re: Horizon
I think it is more like my port forwarding. The portforwarding allows people to get on without using programs like Hamachi.

Re: Horizon
Oh right that's the tricky bit. I think ports are for private servers and public and i think you may have connected to a port that only you could use. Did you use a tutorial?
Re: Horizon
No. I used them once and I never had to use them again. I have made them for years now. I am using the same ports and whatnot. I believe it is my server, but I don't want to have to loose everyone's account and furniture that they had previously.

Re: Horizon
So do you know how to fix this problem? If not maybe you could ask an owner of a working hotel?
Re: Horizon
This is a lie. I was on a different subject. I have used tutorials and I need to keep using them since CMS have more steps and more things to do than old school.Dallas wrote:No. I used them once and I never had to use them again. Nope, no idea how to fix it. We may have to go to someone who can help us out. Still, it will take some time.Horizon wrote:So do you know how to fix this problem? If not maybe you could ask an owner of a working hotel?

Lol a lie.
Do you know how much time because i can tell this hotel is going to pretty good and working for a long time as you seem to be dedicated.

Re: Horizon
I do not know how long it'll take, but yes, it should be successful. We've been opened on and off for the past year, maybe two. We've had at least 20 people online daily when we were old school retros with v14 and it is bound to shoot up if we open with a CMS.
I think CMS would suit people more better since it is what they're fimilar with since Habbo changed dramatically.

Re: Horizon
Im used to retros with over 200 daily but this hotel should reach that if you keep it running long enough. Anyway. Good luck finding a nice hotel owner who actually speaks (these are quite hard to find) and actually tell you how to make a hotel work which will probably drive business from him... >.<
Re: Horizon
Lol, no worries. You probably play the ones that were forums originally and have opened up a hotel after being popular. It always happens with them. Anyways, we are bound to find someone who has given up on there and might be able to help us, if not, we have ways of getting it to work one way or another.

Re: Horizon
Do you know when the net site will be finished? And do you know how long you can keep paying for it? And sorry to be a bother but will the hotel be like the normal habbo?
Re: Horizon
The .net site should be finished soon. Justin is adding a little bit here and there. We can keep paying for it for a while I think. What do you mean by normal Habbo? Like r51?Horizon wrote:Do you know when the net site will be finished? And do you know how long you can keep paying for it? And sorry to be a bother but will the hotel be like the normal habbo?

Re: Horizon
We are trying to get one of those hotels, yes. That's what we've been discussing. We are having problems with it, but the old school retro is coming out today probably.
